Northbound I-71 Exit/Loop Ramp Project – Pump Station Relocation

FEBRUARY 18, 2014: The work mentioned below has been completed. Project planners anticipate one additional impact to traffic – likely in the summer – that may cause a brief interruption to the flow of traffic on Fields-Ertel Road. We will provide additional updates on this work as warmer weather approaches, and new work is scheduled.

UPDATE: Beginning Monday, January 27, and continuing through Wednesday, January 29, waterline work near the intersection of Fields-Ertel and Mason-Montgomery Road will require intermittent single lane closures. Motorists will notice various lane closures during both day and night, and should use caution when traveling through the area. Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.

In preparation for the Loop Ramp project, the relocation of the pump station currently located north of the Park & Ride facility at the northwest corner of Fields-Ertel & Mason-Montgomery Roads will begin the week of November 11. The new pump station will be located on the southwest corner of Fields-Ertel and Mason-Montgomery, across from the Frisch’s restaurant.

Most of the work to relocate the pump station will occur outside the pavement and traveled lanes of traffic. However, in the coming weeks, there will be some lane closures required in order to tie the new water lines into the existing water lines located under the existing pavement.

We will post any lane closures and traffic advisories related to this work on our website. Please check our site regularly for current construction and updated traffic information.
